Coming from a long line of Teachers, Clarke takes pride in educating his clients about the intricate details of today's everchanging world. Whether describing a particular investment strategy, or the numbers on a radial tire, Clarke will get rid of the jargon and explain in a no-nonsense, easy to understand and reasoned summary.

Clarke was born in Summerside, Prince Edward Island and has lived in five of our ten Canadian provinces, earning him the nickname “the man from everywhere”. He started in the financial service industry over 40 years ago. After graduating from Dalhousie University, he joined Wood Gundy in Toronto. He returned to Halifax to continue his career with Wood Gundy and has remained in this wonderful city since. He joined Manulife Wealth Inc. in 2009 and started his own branch in 2012. He has taught classes in investing as well has been a guest lecturer for the MBA class at Dalhousie University.

In his spare time, Clarke and his wife Laura enjoy visiting with their daughter Teena and her husband as well as their two granddaughters Amaya and Tallia in the United States. Clarke also enjoys going for a cruise on his motorcycle and high performance car rallying. Clarke has always been very community minded working with many charities over the years. He continues his charity work with the Halifax Harbourside Rotary Club which he now the president of.

Tara hails from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia originally. She moved around a bit and ended up settling in the Elmsdale area with her family.

Tara joined our branch in September of 2022, bringing with her a broad range of work experience, including private banking and accounting. Tara has been spending lots of time studying and has completed a range of investment courses including the Wealth Management Essentials Course.

When she is not at work you might find Tara hiking, camping or doing car club activities with her two girls, Rylee and Shelby. Tara also spends time working with various volunteer organizations and organizing fundraising events for East Hants Family Resource Centre.
